The castle

A 13th-century castle above the vineyards of South Tyrol, available exclusively as a private residence. Sixteen rooms and suites, a chapel, an orangery, a walled courtyard and a heated infinity pool — and no other guests.

Freudenstein is not a hotel. It is a private home, entrusted to its guests for a few days, with its own kitchen and its own wines. Restored by its châtelaine, who still lives here and welcomes every arrival herself, the castle is at once grand and intimate.

Everything that happens within these walls stays exactly where it belongs.
